去る6月中旬に開催された2025年春夏パリ・ファッションウィーク（以下、PFW）。
展示会を行っていたアンドワンダーは、そのPFWの開催に合わせ、1870年創業の老舗百貨店「Samaritaine（サマリテーヌ）」と共にハイキングクラブイベントを行いました。
今回は山を登るハイキングではなく“公園や名所をポイントに、パリ市内を散策しよう”という内容。今年最高気温となったこの日のパリは、朝から汗ばむ陽気。例年の6月とは異なり雨や肌寒い日が続いていたため、夏の始まりを感じた高揚感からスタートしました。
やはりパリジャンらしく、参加者の皆さんは集合時間を過ぎてから爽快にサマリテーヌに集まってきました。つい最近ペルーのマチュ・ピチュで本格的なハイキングを楽しんで戻ってきたという方も。
The 2025 Spring Summer Paris Fashion Week (PFW) was held in June this year.
And Wander was exhibiting at the time, and organised a Hiking Club to coincide with PFW, in collaboration with long established department store, La Samaritaine (founded in 1870).
Instead of hiking up a mountain, this Hiking Club took its participants around Paris to discover the city’s sights and parks. Temperatures on the day were the highest of the year so far, and the group was met with warm morning sunshine. Following an uncharacteristically cold and wet June, it was an uplifting start to the day.
The Hiking Club participants arrive at La Samaritaine fashionably late, in true Parisian style. Some members of the group have just returned from some serious hiking in Machu Picchu, Peru.

参加者同士も仲良くなったところで、ここからは現地ガイドのモウドさんの引率でハイキングに出発。
Once our participants have had a chance to get to know each other, we set off, led by local guide, Ms. Maud Hacker.
アール・ヌーヴォー様式を忠実に復元したポンヌフ館、ベル・エポック期にパリの象徴であったことを物語る。
La Samaritaine Pont-Neuf, with its authentic art nouveau style, reflects the status it held during the Belle Époque era as a symbol of Paris.
サマリテーヌは、当時、創業者エルネスト・コニャックが仕立服のブティックとしてオープンしました。長い歴史を重ねたパリの風景を映しだし、クラシックな街並みの中で外壁の美しさ、特に白い花がひときわ目を惹きます。
La Samaritaine was originaly created by founder Ernest Cognacq as a boutique tailor shop. It represents the layers of history embedded in Paris landscapes, and its beautiful exterior, especially the white flowers, is very eye-catching.
季節を感じる正面入り口の歩道の植栽には、スリジエ（桜）の木もあり、春には花を楽しむことができるそう。
Cerisier (cherry trees) line the pavement in front of the main entrance, and in spring, you can enjoy the cherry blossom.
朝の日差しを浴びながら、皆でポンヌフ橋を渡ります。
ポンヌフと言えば、レオスカラックスの映画、“ポンヌフの恋人”を思い浮かべる方も多いのではないでしょうか。
パリで最も古い橋であり、なんとサマリテーヌの創業者エルネスト・コニャックもここでネクタイを売る露天商でした。400年以上パリの右岸と左岸を1つの橋で繋ぎ続け、印象派の画家や芸術家たちをも魅了してきたポンヌフには、世界中から恋人たちも集まってきます。
We all cross the Pont Neuf together under the morning sunshine.
When you hear “Pont Neuf”, many people will think of the film Les Amants du Pont-Neuf by Leo Carax.
It is the oldest standing bridge in Paris, and La Samaritaine founder, Ernest Cognacq, used to sell ties on this very same bridge as a street vendor. It has been a bridge between the right and left bank of Paris for over 400 years. It inspired impressionist painters and artists and is now visited by lovers from all over the world.
左岸と右岸の中腹に位置するシテ島まで歩きました。フランス国王だったアンリ４世の騎馬像に着いたら、階段を降りてシテ島先端にあるヴェール＝ギャラン広場に到着です。
We walk to the Île de la Cité (City Island), located half way between the right and left banks of the river. Once we arrive at the statue of Henry IV on horseback, we walk down the steps to the Square du Vert-Galant at the end of the Île de la Cité.
「さあ皆さん、緑のある広場に入ってきましたよ！」
ガイドのモウドさんの一声で、各々がリラックスして自然を感じる時間。
“Everyone! Welcome to some urban greenery!”
With those words from our guide Maud, everyone enjoys a relaxing moment in nature.
フランスのフリット（フライドポテト）発祥の地でもあるポンヌフ橋。当時人々は“じゃがいも揚げのポンヌフ”と呼んでいたそうです。参加者のパリジャンの皆さんも知らなかったようで、時折笑い声と質問も飛び交い、興味津々に聞き入っていました。
Pont Neuf is also the birth place of French frites (fried potatoes), and it used to be referred to as the “Pont Neuf of fried potatoes”. It appears that even the Parisians in our group don’t know this, and everyone is very interested as laughter and questions are exchanged.
この小さな広場には、アンリ4世が植えた樹齢423年、高さ25Mのニセアカシアの木があります。フランス革命を生き延び、第二次世界大戦の爆撃も逃れたパリで最古の木からは、何とも言い表せない威厳を感じました。
パリの大都会を流れるセーヌ川には、実はたくさんの種類の魚が住んでいるそうで、全長1メートルの大魚も住んでいたり、10cmほどの大きな蛙も現れます。
In this small square stands a 25-metre-high, 423-year-old black locust tree that was planted by Henry IV. The oldest tree in Paris, which survived both the French Revolution and the bombing of the Second World War, has an inexplicable air of dignity and majesty.
The River Seine, which flows through the city of Paris is actually home to many different species of fish, with some large specimens coming in at over a metre long. You may even spot some very large frogs, over 10 cm in size.

パリに住んでいても、意識しないと気付かない小さな発見がたくさんあります。
山のハイキングでは大自然を一望できますが、“都会のハイキング”もまた、視線を少し変えることで自然を感じられ、粋な時間を過ごすことができました。
There are lots of little things to discover in the city that you might not normally notice, even if you live there.
When you hike up a mountain, you will see great views of vast natural landscapes. In its own way, “city hiking” can also be a way to experience nature if you change the way you look at things. This city hike made for a very enjoyable morning for everyone in the group.
